Welcome to the 2015-2016 school year. My name is Dexter Jordan. I am a loving husband and father of three, a devoted Minister of the Gospel, and a friend to my caring brothers and sisters. I have had positive role models that have demonstrated what an effective Administrator and Teacher should look like. I have also met parents and community members who have guided me in developing an appreciation for the community I serve. Each of these components have shaped me to become the educator that will make a positive impact in Covington County.

I have fourteen years of teaching and leadership experience. I received my Bachelors of Science degree in Sports Medicine/Sports Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi. I also received a Master of Science degree in Education from William Carey University. I have taught Special Education at Schools in Magee MS, and held the position of 45-day program Facilitator at the Laurel Middle School in Laurel MS. I was blessed to become the Transportation Director at the Learning Center in Rankin County. I later was named Assistant Principal at Bay Springs High School, Bay Springs, MS. I previously served as the Principal of Bay Springs Elementary School in Bay Springs MS, which is part of the West Jasper School District. I am now proudly serving my fourth year as Principal of Hopewell Elementary.
